Joy and Matt's Books
Terms and Conditions
This website is obviously owned and operated by Joy and Matt's Books Limited. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This website offers visitors books, obviously. By accessing or using the website of our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
In order to use our website and/or receive our services, you must be of the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and possess the legal authority, right and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement. You are not allowed to use this website and/or receive services if doing so is prohibited in your country or under any law or regulation applicable to you. In other words, if you do something that violates a law, that is on you. Not me. I tried to talk you out of it.
When buying an item, you agree that: (i) you are responsible for reading the full item listing before making a commitment to buy it: (ii) you enter into a legally binding contract to purchase an item when you commit to buy an item and you complete the check-out payment process.
The prices we charge for using our products are listed on the website. Typically, they are a series of arabic numerals rounded to the nearest 1/100th (two significant figures). These numbers represent a specific amount of currency. Currency is a transactional technology provides liquidity in commerce, i.e., it allows the buyer of an asset to transfer their wealth from a less desired form to a more desired form without having to barter directly with the current owner. We reserve the right to change our prices for products displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur. Additional information about pricing and sales tax is available on the payments page.
The intellectual property rights to our products are not transferred upon sale. Just as you would not own the patents to, say, a Sikorsky S76 helicopter, were you to purchase one. But you knew that. We are licensed by publishers to use their intellectual property (cover images, text describing the books, etc.) for the purpose of promotion and sale of books, obviously. Just as any book shop would be. You've been to a book store before, right?
